How CerMet Repairs Friction Components Without Disassembly: A cermet, a word coined by the United States Air Force, is a composite of ceramic (cer) and metallic (met), materials. CerMet Lab Company offers a uniquely transformative composite cermet formula for friction component repair. CerMet will not modify the engine oil properties, but it will change the physical properties of the friction component metal. Nano sized particles of cermet form a ceramic-metal composite which integrates into engine friction components to renew them. When CerMet is added to an engine’s oil it is transported by the lubricant to the engine friction zones. Eventually there will be no CerMet within the oil, as it will in time all be fused with the oil bathed friction component metal at the atomic level. The microscopic nano sized Cermet particles are attracted by the engine’s friction energy, and by temperatures over 800 degrees, and by microscopic electromagnetic fields to the friction zones. Using the friction energy as a catalyst CerMet’s molecules are activated to go through a physiochemical reaction and the CerMet bonds to the friction component metal only where needed.

Because an engine’s metal is porous, and the CerMet Lab’s uniquely small particles are only 16 to 25 nanometers in size (microscopic), the CerMet continues to integrate into the metal with anchoring fingers as deep as 300 microns. Once integrated, it becomes impossible to see where the metal ends and the CerMet begins. The new modified friction components are now harder, smoother, and more perfectly rounded than the original metal, thus significantly reducing friction and internal losses. Your engine friction components will be more like high performance parts even without being exchanged.

As Cermet only works when there is excessive friction and heat, it is self regulating. CerMet only rebuilds up to the point where the friction components no longer produce the necessary heat and energy to be activated. CerMet never overbuilds. This new layer also protects the metal beneath from future oxidation and corrosion. The initial two phase treatment typically lasts about 60,000 miles (odometer for vehicles) or 2,000 hours (hour meter for tractors &, heavy equipment). An engine properly treated and retreated with CerMet could theoretically then last almost indefinitely. As CerMet is self regulating, if it is added early enough to an engine, that engine can run more efficiently even than when it was newly manufactured. CerMet also works on all kinds of other oil or grease bathed metal to metal friction components such as manual transmissions (not automatic transmissions), differentials (not limited slip), and non-vehicular machines.

When CerMet has made the friction components smoother, rounder, and harder, and when it has optimized tolerances, then vibration and noise will disappear, the engine will run cooler, and with better compression the engine will use less oil and fuel, and it will have far cleaner exhaust. Such an engine, with greatly improved performance, will not only be much less expensive to operate; it will last considerably longer before any needed rebuilding or replacement.

Some Friction Components CerMet Can Transform: Cermet can restore oil bathed friction components within an engine, a manual transmission, a differential, and in other parts of the internal combustion engine drive train. It must not be used on clutches. CerMet can also do the same kind of restorative work on industrial and manufacturing machinery. When CerMet renews metal on metal friction components, it improves performance in so many ways that the restorative CerMet treatment pays for itself in almost no time, and it is not at all expensive.

When Is An Engine Too Far Gone For CerMet Too Optimize: If an engine has very poor compression and/or the rods knock, CerMet is not likely to miraculously transform that engine to like new. But if your engine’s gas mileage is low, oil use is increasing, the engine is a little noisy, it idles erratically, and/or you see blue smoke, you may have caught it early enough for CerMet to significantly renew it.

Do You Have Credibility Questions before You Proceed? CerMet almost seems like science fiction in its amazing capabilities. However, this technology, even in it’s earlier more crude form, has been repairing worn engine friction components for decades. There are companies which have used CerMet and discovered measurable, repeatable significant improvements in their engines. There have been independent lab tests, independent university tests, independent government tests, and innumerable independent field tests that have repeatedly proved that CerMet is not science fiction, but is instead an astounding engine renewing discovery.
